Senior Energy Expert

National Energy Conservation Agency (KAPE SA)

Expert with more than 25 years of experience in creating strategies, analyses and programs in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.

He was the initiator and President of the Małopolska Energy and Environment Agency (2000–2009) and a member of the Supervisory Board of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (2005–2007), where he participated in the creation of strategies and the proposal of new instruments. He has cooperated as an expert / senior consultant with national and international institutions: NFOSiGW, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank, the European Commission, as well as with consulting companies such as IDOM, RPS, COBI, ARUP, SECI, and the International Solar Alliance in the preparation of strategies, market analyses and support instruments in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.

Author and co-author of analyses and programs relating to the modernization of single-family buildings, energy efficiency and support for photovoltaics (PV Rooftop Program, India), including regulations, standards and recycling solutions for PV panels in India. In the years 2014–2018 he led the Efficient Poland Coalition – a platform for dialogue between government, industry, business and local governments for a new energy model. At present, at KAPE, he is engaged in the preparation of analyses in the field of energy efficiency policy instruments and in a new area — the non-energy benefits resulting from energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
