Low2HighDH event

How can existing district heating systems integrate renewable and recovered heat while maintaining reliability – and how can the necessary investments be financed?

Organised as part of Energy Days Poland 2026, the Low2HighDH event will bring together district heating operators, technology experts, policymakers and financial specialists to discuss practical solutions for the transition towards cleaner and more efficient district heating.

The event will combine two expert sessions. The first will focus on the technical integration of low-temperature renewable and recovered heat – including geothermal energy, mine-water heat pumps, wastewater heat recovery and industrial waste heat – into existing district heating networks.

The second will address the financial side of the transition, exploring public funding, private capital and blended financing models, as well as the conditions needed to make district heating investments bankable.

Programme

15:00–15:30 | Coffee & networking

15:30–17:00 | Financial session - Financing the Transformation of Small District Heating Systems
