The Round Table of Tauron
Thematic scope
Part 1. Just and profitable transformation and decarbonization of heat
11:30 a.m. – 1.00 p.pm.
TAURON presents a transformation plan for its key energy locations: Jaworzno, Siersza, Łaziska Górne, and Łagisza. The existing power plants will remain an important element of energy security, and their sites will be utilized for new investments. Plans include gas-fired units, energy storage, RES, modern district heating, hydrogen installations, and the redevelopment of post-industrial land. A crucial element of the strategy is also the heat transformation, based on decarbonization, high-efficiency gas cogeneration, RES, heat storage, and Power-to-Heat technology. The total investment potential is approximately 3.7 GW of new capacity and PLN 16.5 billion. How to balance transformation with security of supply? How will it impact regional development and the labor market? Which technologies will play a key role?

Part 2. Development of distribution, RES, energy storage, PSP - Rożnów, lighting, e-mobility, and fiber optics
1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
TAURON is building a modern energy system that supports the development of the economy, local governments, and local communities. By 2035, the Group will allocate PLN 60 billion to the development and modernization of the distribution network, increasing capacity to connect end-users, RES, energy storage, and new industrial investments. In parallel, wind and photovoltaic farms, the Rożnów II Pumped-Storage Power Station, vehicle charging infrastructure, energy-efficient street lighting, and a fiber-optic network are being developed. How will these investments impact regional development? How will they enhance Poland's energy security? In what ways will they improve the quality of life for residents and the investment attractiveness of local governments?

Part 3. Customer in focus – together we build a community
2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
TAURON is developing an offering that helps customers better control their energy consumption and lower their bills. It includes tariffs tailored to lifestyle, "Cheap Hours" and "Cheap Weekends" offers, dynamic prices, energy from RES, and energy storage. This year, 83,000 households took advantage of multi-zone tariffs, and changing tariffs can yield savings of up to 20%. The Group is also consistently simplifying customer service: 3 million people already use the Mój TAURON app, 99% of matters can be resolved online, and the new invoice layout reduced customer inquiries by 24%.
How to support customers even more effectively in managing energy consumption and lowering costs? How are RES, energy storage, and flexible tariffs changing the way energy is used in households? How is the digitalization of service impacting customer expectations toward energy companies?
